The Thunder and Lightning Snake...

The Thunder and Lightning Snake, also known as the Tiger Rat Snake or Tropical Chicken Snake, is another snake I like a lot. Its found from Mexico to South America, and can reach lengths of as much as ten to twelve feet. They are a fast moving snake, fairly arboreal, and can be territorial and a bit 

aggressive. They can rattle their tails against surrounding materials to create noise, and they can inflate/spread their napes almost like a cobra. With their bold markings, they are as colorful as a lot of the poisonous snakes, and some of the corn, milk and kingsnakes, which also mimic venomous species. These are a lot more available than my other favorite, and less expensive. Pretty cool.
